The sixth annual Feed the Future™ will be happening in December 2009, making stops in Chicago, Illinois and Gary, East Chicago, and Hammond, Indiana, bringing a Holiday Extravaganza for over 50,000 children grades K-8.
The stage show is sure to be a production these children won't forget, featuring live performances by many local & national artists (view full list), including Queen of the Blues Koko Taylor and Nashville Star Nicole Jamrose. There will also be special guest appearances by Hall of Fame baseball legend Lou Brock and 1986-87 World Boxing Association Champion James "Bonecrusher" Smith.
Hundreds of volunteers from your community have pooled their efforts to create this unique experience, one that will nourish the bodies, minds, and souls of our next generation of community leaders and visionaries. The dream of Feed the Future™ is to create a day that makes every child feel special. Next December, that dream will spring to life in your community.
BerylMartin, the Urban League of Northwest Indiana, and UPS, is enlisting the support of businesses throughout the Northwest Indiana and the Chicago Metropolitan area in order to provide a meaningful day that honors those children who may otherwise be forgotten during the holiday season.
