Feed the Future, a non-profit foundation, looks to strengthen food and farming systems and their workforce, by researching and funding on-the-ground programs to promote more resilient local farms, workers, communities, and food ecosystems.
We research and focus on factors of sustainability in organic food and farming. We explore topics to inform and improve conversations around regenerative methods, seasonality, restaurant consumption and their environmental footprint, and food waste systems including sourcing responsibly and reducing our resource-use across all products.
Beyond education, we offer grants and volunteer programs to advance the practices, ecological sustainability, and economic prosperity of organic farming. We look to build trusted relationships and professional networks to provide farmers with access to the tools, knowledge and resources they need on their path to becoming viable businesses. This includes practical business, accounting and financial advisory services to small farms.
Our Board of Directors and partners share our vision for a vibrant and healthy local food economy where sustainable small farms flourish, and consumers are connected to the sources of their food. Together, we are creating a diversified, balanced, and stable funding source that enables us to best support our farms, restaurants, and consumers.
